Walk to School October

Hi 5C,

We’re all doing such a great job walking to and from school, there are so many of you taking up the challenge to be more fit and active.

Here’s the walk to school website: http://www.walktoschool.vic.gov.au/

You can use the FAQ tab at the top of the website to find some more information about walk to school month. There is a question about what students can win.

If you click on this picture link, it will take you to the Leader Newspaper article on a photography competition that is running as part of walk to school month.

It asks you to use social media to share pictures that you have taken while walking to school.
To protect your digital footprint, you will need to make sure you read the terms and conditions with Mum or Dad and choose a social media platform that is safe for you to use.

What do you like best about walking to school?

Wellness Presentation

Howdy,

I know lots of you are working on your wellness presentations at home, so I thought I would share our brainstorm on the board with you all.

Remember that your presentation can be in any form you like: an Explain Everything file, a song, a poem, a story, a dance, a poster or series of drawings, an iMovie, or a dance.

On the right hand side of the board, is the list of things that you need to be able to show in your presentation.

I’d like to see finished presentations by Wednesday next week. That’s the 25th of March!

Wonderful Wellness

Hi Everyone,

We have been investigating a little bit about our physical wellness. So we all know that this includes things like our diet, sleep and exercise- the things that keep our bodies functioning, happy and healthy.

But what other areas of wellness are there? Are they important? What things do we need to keep these other aspects of wellness healthy?

This session is going to be some ‘finding out time’.
Check out the websites below:

Remember, we’re looking for other aspects of wellness- other than the physical, so keep that in mind when clicking on links. If you’re interested in other links, you could check them out at home with Mum and Dad.

When you’ve found something interesting, post it as a comment on this post. Remember how to be a quality commenter!
